Loved this hotel. My room had a fridge and microwave which was a nice bonus. Staff was attentive and friendly. Will be staying here again.
This boutique hotel mainly offers self-service, but Jasmine at the front desk and Gabína the housekeeper provided excellent service. Jasmine was especially helpful with our questions. The rooftop is a highlight, and the location is fantastic. The room was nice overall but could use renovations; there was rust around the bathtub faucet, and the beds weren't very comfortable. Some walls had been plastered but not repainted, and the bed cover had a couple of small stains.
Customer Service is fantastic. Had a little goof up with my reservation (no fault of the hotel) and was taken care of immediately. Great location to subway (two blocks), shops and restaurants. Easy to get to Brooklyn or Manhattan and a few minutes to SoHo. Anytime we asked questions they went above and beyond with recommendations and best way to get around the city (which trains to take). The rooms are clean, good size, comfortable and safe.
The good: location and transportation- you can be at Times Square or the UN in minutes. Night staff gent is awesome! Super helpful. Rooftop deck has awesome views. Snacks provided at front desk. My room had a fridge and microwave. I needed a desk, but appreciated the fridge. Groceries, drugstore and good food eateries are all around. The not so good: room was tiny, overheated and climate control did not work. Front desk got me a box fan. Neighborhood is a hotbed for ambulances running loud sirens. WiFi did not work or worked poorly at best. No housekeeping. Room next door indulged in heavy pot-smoking, which stunk up the entire hall. Excellent night staff guy handled it- much appreciated! It’s a great option for a budget stay in NYC.
I am so glad I stayed here, I read some reviews and got nervous, but my experience was great. Location is amazing, it was safe, clean, service was great very helpful, I was in 501 - it was quiet, I will stay there again and I recommended to a friend and she stayed there too, thank you to Jasmine for all the help! Towels and sheets were good thick cotton, the mattress was great. Shower was a beautiful, rain shower head so much hot water. I had a view of the Empire State building! Heat in the room was great too!
I really liked it here. Coffee and water available in lobby. Coffee next door is great. Comfy bed and nice bathroom. No amenities which is fine I never use (gym/breakfast/pool) anyways. Location is great. View on rooftop is amazing. Receptionist Jasmin is amazing, thank you
Great location. Small room but that was anticipated. Sure and emails push that this is a no service hotel, and imply no staff at reception. I found someone at the desk at all times from morning to late afternoon
Staying at the Ridge Hotel was a delight. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, just from the interaction with them alone would make me come back and stay. The location was central, so close to everything. A very electric and busy area so there is plenty of things to do. The room was okay (bit small) bathroom was nice, the bed wasn't the comfiest but other than that it was great. It's everything you need in the one stay, i would definitely recommend anyone to come and stay here!
